SCADA SYSTEM

SCADA system (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) is a system consisting of a number of Remote Terminal Units (RTU) which serves to collect data and send it to the Master Station via a communication system. Master Station function to display the data obtained and enables the operator to control remotely.
A SCADA system provides the flexibility to set and configure the system. We can put the sensors and control at each critical point in the process. Along with the SCADA system technology is getting better, we can put more sensors in many places so that more things that can be monitored, the more detailed operation can be seen, and everything works in real-time.

Real-time is the operating condition of a system of hardware and software that is limited by the range of time and have deadlines (deadlines) are obvious, relative to the time of an event or surgery occurs. A computing system is called real-time if the system can support the execution of the program / application that has a time limit, or in other words a real-time system must have:
 1. Time constraints and meet deadlines, meaning that the application to finish its work in time has been restricted or determined.
2. Can be predicted, meaning that the system should react to all possible events during these events can be predicted.
3. Creating a processor to work faster, so it can be increased number of tasks completed.
4. Finding the level of efficiency of time.
5. When the process is vital and is considered important.
6. A system where a timely response by the computer is considered vital. In the complex, SCADA systems have five basic levels or hierarchy, namely:
• The level of instrumentation and control equipment
• Preparation of the Terminal and RTU (Remote Terminal Unit)
• Communications Systems
• Master Terminal Unit (MTU)
• Information Technology (IT) or processing data on computer systems
